AeroQuad Software

Note:
The AeroQuad software is not maintained actively anymore! The AeroQuad32 boards are supported by other more active flight softwares like dRonin (http://dronin.org/).


This page will provide you all necessary information about where to get the AeroQuad software including the source code. For information on how to configure and upload the software to your AeroQuad flight controller board please head over to the AeroQuad Manual.

AeroQuad Flight Software

The latest version of our flight software is v3.2 - this version is only compatible with Configurator v3.2. The software changelog can be found on this page. The software itself can be found in the following places:

  • AeroQuad Downloads: There you'll find the latest stable version of our flight software (in a .zip package) and the driver package necessary for the AeroQuad32 flight control board.
  • GitHub repository: There you'll also find the latest stable version in the "master" branch. Notice that there are other branches (e.g. "development") which may contain unstable and untested code only intended for developer and tester - only use with great caution or use the master branch instead!

Source Code (for developers)

Note:
Please don't use the source code from the Google code repository as it is not up-to-date.

The current source code of our flight software can be found in the following place. If you would like to contribute to this project please read our developers guide and the developer information.

  • GitHub repository: There you'll find the latest stable version in the master branch. Notice that the latest development versions are usually found in the "development" branch which may contain unstable and untested code only intended for developers and testers - only use with great caution!

AeroQuad Configurator

The latest version of our AeroQuad Configurator is v3.2 - this version is only compatible with flight software v3.2. The Configurator is a powerful tool used to calibrate, configure and tune your AeroQuad and is available for Windows and Mac. The corresponding changelog can be found on this page. The Configurator itself can be found in the following place:

Source Code (for developers)

The current source code of our AeroQuad Configurator can be found in the following place:
  • GitHub repository (LabView version): There you'll find the latest stable version of the Configurator (LabView version). Please note that we are currently working on porting the Configurator to Python (see below) so this version might be deprecated in the near future.
  • GitHub repository (Python version): There you'll find the latest experimental versions of the Configurator (Python version). This is currently a work in process and still misses some functionality. If you would like to contribute please visit this thread.

AeroQuad32 Driver Package

The latest version of the drivers needed for the AeroQuad32 flight control board can be found in the following place:

  • AeroQuad Downloads: There you'll find the latest drivers for the AeroQuad32 board (in a .zip package called "AeroQuad32Setup_V1.1").

[BETA] AeroQuad Communicator

The latest version of our AeroQuad Communicator is v0.5 Beta - this version is only compatible with AQ flight software v3.2 and AQ32Plus v1.0. The Communicator is a new configuration tool used to calibrate, configure and tune your AeroQuad and is currently only available for Windows. This is still a work in progress and considered as experimental. For further information and feedback please visit this thread. The Communicator itself can be found in the following place:
