This chapter will provide you information about how to create the needed firmware binaries and how to upload these to your AeroQuad32 board using the AeroQuad Configurator .
- Make sure that the AeroQuad32 board is connected to your computer. Open the AeroQuad Configurator and click on the "Upload AeroQuad 32 Flight Software" button.
- In the upcoming window select the correct Com Port your AeroQuad32 board is connected to and complete the page by selecting the desired flight software features. After you've configured everything scroll down to the bottom of the page and press "Compile" which will start the compilation process.
Note: You might notice two "Compile" buttons on the page - the first one is for the flight software, the second is for the bootloader. Make sure you click on the first one (the one directly below the flight configuration options) as shown here and not the second one:
- After a while a pop-up window asks you where to save the created binary. Select a location of your choice.
- Next, the compiled binary will be automatically uploaded to your AeroQuad32 board. This will take about 5 to 8 seconds depending on the features you've chosen. If the upload seems to complete instantaneously with the (seemingly) positive message shown below, there is something wrong with your drivers and the software is not correctly uploaded! Make sure that you followed all steps in the previous chapter about establishing a connection between the AeroQuad32 board and your computer and try it again.
Upon a successful upload your board will be automatically reset and the following message will appear. Click on "OK" and then on "Done" in the bottom-right corner. Now you are ready to connect to the Configurator and proceed with the next step!
