Exclamation AQ Typhoon Kit - Connecting receiver

I recently purchased an aeroquad typhoon quad copter (open source kit) and it is now fully assembled and ready to be paired to our controller (I have a Spectrum DX6i controller -- a very nice receiver that is used to control RC planes or helicopters). Here is where I am stuck //maybe a simple question..How do I connect the transmitter to the motherboard of the quad that already has the ESC's plug into its control board ? Here's our set up (see pic). What are we missing in order to bind our transmitter and receiver to the motherboard of this kit? (do we even need to use our separate receiver?) Is there some kind of adapter we need to bind our receiver directly to the aeroquad control board? Any help from anyone who's build an open source kit like this one is greatly appreciated.

Please read the AQ manual, this is covered in detail. Specifically, the connecting the receiver to your AeroQuad board page.
push the envelope, watch it bend
