Thumbs up FPV Spanky, The Joy of Speed

    Hi All,
Here is a quick flight around the parade ground of Plympton Castle near Plymouth, Devon. I could not fly near the castle as there were too many people around. Its hard to find things to do in an open space but finding the path kept me well entertained and I enjoyed it so much I thought I would share.

No real test of skills or scary bits, just plain good fun

Very nice! How do you keep the height of the quadcopter so steady? Or is it just training?

Someone else answered this better than I could so here are is words:
"When i fly using acro only mode I am constantly on the throttle - it never stays still.

You will eventually learn to intuitively adjust the throttle as your horizontal angle changes to compensate for the thrust you've vectored backwards. That's the only way to keep the altitude so stable. Very important when flying under trees."

I say ditto lol and add Getting a good momentum going before you start to keep a single height also helps a lot as you don't have to worry about your pitch so much and just adjust height using the throttle while still at a good speed.

Okay! So I understand you fly in acro mode?
I always fly attitude mode in FPV, and sometimes when the situation gets sticky I tend to lose control. But yeah, I just have to practice!

I fly mostly in 'Angle' mode if going at speed

Here is some raw crash footage from a fun flight around a new area
