    What battery do i choose?

    I'm making this tread from my friends name, as he does not understand english. He has DJI F550 Hexa and wonders which of these batteries ( http://copter.bg/en/15-baterii-i-zaryadni ) would be the best for his platform. The platform will fly with Naza-M V2, Zenmuse and GoPro and he is looking for the longest flight time. So, what battery should he get?

    Hi Phantomenace;

    The higher the mah rating, the greater the capacity of the pack and therefore the run time. You will also be constrained by voltage requirement as well as the physical size of the battery as compared to the available space on the airframe. Weight is of course, an important consideration as well.

    2S's and 7.4V....duh...
    each cell is ~3.7V so a 4S is 14.8 and a 6S 22.2V

    4S = 4 cells in series = 3.7V * 4 = 14.8V
    6S = 6 cells in series = 3.7V * 6 = 22.2V

    Every motor has a workable voltage rating - most motors are 2-4S capable, anything above 4S and you're getting into larger motors for larger copters.

    25C vs 30C = the amount of current the battery can discharge. A 1000mAh 25C battery can provide at most 1000mA*25 = 25000mA = 25A. Draw more than 25A from this battery and you may damage it. Higher C rating = higher max current capability, but it also generally means the battery weighs more.

    Hi, Your friend have FPV 550, a long time ago i have writen a article about how to choose battery for quadcopter. 550/650/750mm fpv were recommendeded lipo battey is range from 5000-8000mAh 4s/5s/6s. Which one is the best? you should Choose the longest flight time battery for FPV , how to calculate the flight time? http://www.rcdronegood.com/quadcopte...-flight-times/ (Quadcopter flight times =(Battery Capacity * Battery Discharge /Average Amp Draw)*60) I find here will help you . A little complicated calculation.

    If you have a quadcopter and will want to know how to calculate quadcopter flight times, here can be explained with a formula about Quadcopter battery calculator, which is a resultant experience of several factors like the lipo battery capacity, the wind speed, flight load, average amperage draw, weather conditions, etc.
