    FPV Quadcopter Okehampton Castle

    Hi All,
Here is a video shot with my new GoPro Black Edition, its temporarily mounted to my frame. The castle in Okehampton is the largest in Devon but is in ruins, such a beautiful day.

Wow, that's some seriously good piloting there mate!

Do you ever have problems with radio drop-outs when flying around those stone walls? What radio system are you using?

The radio link and video link stayed rock solid while I was playing in the castle, I made sure I was very close while I was behind the walls, the video link flickered a bit while I was following the river but there was a lot of leaves in the way.

My radio gear is Spektrum DX6i with 6ch Rx with satellite receiver for diversity and video gear is Fatshark Attitude SD with built in vRx and Fatshark vTx both fitted with Skew Planar antenna which gives me a rock solid link with great range....check my other video where I keep flying forwards until I lose signal and crash.....

That's a heck of a way to do a range check!

I was recently flying in some rock canyons in Australia and had problems with my Spektrum (AR8000 Rx with satellite) and ran into some nasty problems when I deviated the least little bit from LOS, even when less than 100m away. It can be hard to stay in LOS when doing FPV! Interesting to hear your experience.
