Baba O'Riley, nice touch!
Nice video, how are the wooden props, can you recommend them?
I don't really like flying at the water, my quad fell in it once and survived, but still...
very nice!
Was this a gopro? If so, was it set to wide angle? Have you tried narrow? It might hide the props
Y6 - A-2836/9 880kv, 12"x3.8" APC, UHF tx/rx, GoPro1, 900mhz vtx, MaxSonar, AQ OSD w/ current sensor & GPS
Quad+ - A-2836/9 880kv, 12"x3.8" APC, UHF tx/rx, dx201 camera, 900mhz vtx, MaxSonar, AQ OSD, current sensor
QuadX - BP A2217-9 950KV, 12"x3.8" APC, 9x receiver, GoPro1, 1.2ghz vtx, MaxSonar, AQ OSD, current sensor
AR - my very first quad i lost because it threw a prop over water. That is why i will only fly over water if I'm very confident in the craft and have some kind of flotation, though this flight i didn't but normally i have a fun noodle flotation zip tied to the arms to help it float if it goes in. As for the wooden i HIGHLY recommend them, I'm currently replacing my APC-E props as needed for the wooden ones.
Q - Yes its the new GoPro 3 shooting in wide, I just did a few flights with it set to MED and it almost completely gets rid of the arms, only when the camera is level and forward flight will i see them, so ill probably be shooting that way from now on.
Finally got to my LHS and weighed the bird, 3200 grams a little over 7lbs. The batteries weight 500 each so AUW is 9.25 pounds, but with the bird producing 30 pounds of thrust even when I put a DSLR on it she'll still be flying just fine.
Have my "new" ground station all built up. 8" LCD screen figured it would be better for close in filming to get better "feel" of surrounding so I can easily see the craft as well but goggles can very easily be plugged into the eagle eyes ground station. CP antennas, testing them out as I've been using linear antennas te whole time so far.

Nice work sniperp, looks like it's developed a bit from the stick on velcro stage you were experimenting with in the hangout - did you use it for your plunge training in the end?
The plunge is Saturday but yes I will be using it. Ill edit a video of it and post it up hopefully Sunday or Monday.
Some pics from the polar plunge today, will have a short edit up tomorrow and a full video by next weekend.
