    Did anyone really expect any to be in stock at that price? Typical HK, never have enough of any interesting or hot item in stock.
    May be they were doing a test market to see how well they would sell? Oh well, maybe version 2 will be able before these get back in stock.

    I have a dozen items permanently on wish-list, and even most obscure ones periodically go in-stock. I don't remember that price changed up ever.

    HobbyKing makes quad frames now? Wow! I agree, wood is surprisingly strong and seems to have some natural dampening qualities. The only thing is that after a few crashes, the weak points will get softer over time.... but at that price, I suppose you can buy another... I still like the frames that take a beating and keep on ticking (like the ones in the AQ store)!

    Yep, I've made many wood joints that failed around the joint, but not the joint itself. However, in order to achieve that kind of joint, there must be good surface area (I wonder about that on the camera mount picture) and the glue must be able to penetrate into the wood (in the same picture, it looks to me like the mating surfaces are painted or even laminated.) So, I guess I'll let somebody else pioneer this.

    I clicked buy for one .. Shipping to east coast usa is quoted as $10 total $25.22 .. ive spent more on less .. and have had good luck with there align heli clones. So I guess we shall see what its like when they come in stock and ship. ( note that they include http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=8040 .. 183 grams of extra box .. So this cant be a small item :-) ) I just hope this doesnt hold up an order I places with them last week that hasn't shipped yet .. I remember reading someplace that they like to combine orders.

    Check this out - this baby is opensource:
    https://openkopterframe.svn.sourcefo...enkopterframe/

    It is one of the reasons it can sell for $12. You have to love opensource.

    This is an email to let you know that a product from your WishList (HobbyKing Quadcopter Frame V1) has arrived.
    Click below to view this item;
    HobbyKing Quadcopter Frame V1

    my order page shows "reserved" for the one I paid for allready .. but unfortunately the product page still shows as "back ordered" .. So either they all were bought allready .. or they just have not updated the page yet ..
