Hello,

Morning flight with GoProHD on board.

May have to review Arduino vibrations dampers. Temporary, there are some vibrations.

Edit: Small dampers between Cd box and Arduino are removed and replaced by hard mount. Second video (extract of 9' flight) show no auto induced vibrations. There are some when reaching turbulent air (wind) or descending in the vortex.

Took some altitude, sort off. Funny to spot cats playing near the logs.

Looks good! Cats look like mine! Do you have any photos or video of your camera mount? I have the GoPro also and am looking for ideas on mounting it on my quad.

Hello,

No picture of the camera mount because there is no mount. I just used an elastic band wrapped around the front landing gear support and the cam.

That is really stable and nice that you could see the difference between your different vibration dampener setups!

So, is the camera practically mounted with rubber bands? I tried that and it took away every vibration, but then it started to swing from side to side when I had hoped for mechanical roll compensation. Maybe I should try hanging the camera with rubber bands going horizontally instead of vertically which I thin you have done.

I still would also want a picture of the mounting. Seems to work good!

You could try a mounting plate with foam above it and pulled against the frame with rubber bands. If you keep the foam surface small enough it will dampen and not swing too much. If the surface gets very large it tends to dampen less.
