It's yesterdays v3 w/ AQ OSD, i can't wait for your menu w/ PID tuning :)

And this will make you happy, it supports saving to EEPROM...

Without Mutilation Mode being enabled?! I'm amazed!

It's kind of safe; on menu we know that motors are not armed (since menu will immediately exit once one does that). It also does EEPROM init in case one forgot to connect to configurator after pushing in new SW.

Still I would suggest care when using those.

I may be adding receiver calibration also if I figure out a nice way to do it... maybe one axis at time...

Kha,

Is this on your git branch of the v3 code? I'd like to check this out after work!

No, it's going to get merged by Kenny really soon. Look at branch V3.0_C at code.google.com/p/aeroquad/

I pushed it all to my v3 github branch... Dirty push as it's reimported from SVN !!

Note it has FlightAngleMARG enabled which might not be the best idea out there. FlightAngleARG should be safer.

The menu stuff is table tested to work as expected, not in flight (but menu will not do anything when motors are armed).

I was dreaming of this yesterday but didn't dare to wish for it!
How about a BOX with a DOT, X & Y , one stick at a time.

W/ the impending ARM platforms I think this OSD will go very far :)

The thing is that arming happens when trottle/yaw stick goes to lower right corner (on mode2) and menu is controller by roll/pitch stick. Need to do some trickery for it to work out.

Maybe a autotune mode where...
tuning start - will set all axis for 1300 - 1700 range
tuning active - will extend the limits if larger values are seen
tuning stop - will resume normal operation and save values to EEPROM.

Also doing graphics on MAX7456 is pain so a textual line must be enough, this also is inline with the fact that I will make the menu usable without OSD in case you have telemetry capable radiogear (especially Turnigy 9x (er9x fw) & FrSky 2 way system).

the configurator allowed you to calibrate the sensors while setting up the receiver (at least before v3) but not arm the motors, there must be a call to disable arming

Yes, there seems to be variable safetyCheck that will do just that, still the stick that handles menu is a special case...

BTW. why not in IRC lately?

I moved to the woods! i'm having to use 3G w/ external antenna ... I will start using it at work.

On the bright side, I have more room, hanger/garage and a forest to fly/drive in :) need to make a tiny Y6 now

exactly like that Kenny! Nice flying, the dive was my favorite bit :)

love how you solved the landing gear
