Nice, you go pretty far! any signal lost? What FPV gear you got?

thnkx! no signal loss at all... taking it easy while I feel how well it does with obstacles like trees, so far it's been very good

- gopro live video out
- rangevideo 900mhz 800mw TX + 2dbi omni antenna onboard (included antenna sucks)
- rangevideo 900mhz receiver + 18dbi patch antenna on the ground
- Tunigy 9X + thomas scherrer uhf RX/TX on 500mw
- fatshark goggles (the weakest link, quality wise, degrades video quality)

I had issues with the 800mw TX in the start, it caused the arduino to crash/reset if positioned too close, it's about 6 inches away right now.

Very nice! So jealous of your FPV gear.

What is that thomas scherrer thing?

my PIDS could be much better, a smaller quad did much! much! better in the wind that day

the thomas scherrer rig is long range UHF radio system compatible with controllers that output a 20ms PPM frame, http://webx.dk/rc/uhf-link3/uhf-link3.htm
