View Full Version : MK is more stable than AeroQuad?? Pfft, I'm not seeing it!

I keep hearing how much more stable the MK quad is compared to Aeroquad.
While I am new to quads in general, I can't imagine making this craft any more stable than it is running 2.4 code with -0- PID tuning :)

With software version 2.4 we made a huge step towards a stable flight and I'm really happy with attitude mode as it is now.
But personally I feel that MK flies a bit more stable and smooth, especially in windy conditions (also without touching any values).
Nevertheless I think AQ has developed to a very stable platform and doesn't need to hide behind the MK guys!

If you think AQ 2.4 is good... Just wait till we add a little "I" to rate mode... early tests look promising, that and we need to get rid of a PID or 12 :).... But that also means we need to add some functionality to the PID routines...

I actually feel honored to be compared to MK! I started out with them initially (hence the alias Mikro), but wanted a lower cost alternative after running across the Arduino. We are slowly but surely getting there! it's been a great journey with you guys so far!
