Pine, red clay... Southeast US for sure. I'll guess metro Atlanta. How close Old Geek?

Very nice and stable! Hard to beat, but I will try my best! :)

Is there only trees, trees and trees where you live?

Hey, that is a sweet video. I myself live right outside of Raleigh (Knightdale) and am itching to get into this hobby. Are there any local meetups of other like minded individuals?

wow another local! now that we have at least 4 of us within driving distance of each other, lets have a meetup!
Troy, did you make it out to makerfaire this year?

btw, incase you guys haven't noticed, oldgeek's quad is HUGE!!! looks awesome in the pictures, even more awesome in person.

oh hey, oldgeek, do you mind cutting up some of that foam for me? i'm thinking making my big quad similar to yours
don't want the 2" thick stuff, the 1" will be enough
I'll pay for the foam and a bit extra for your time :)

I am totally down! I did in fact go to the Makerfaire. I saw some quad-copter guys just outside as I was leaving.
