Its a tri, and not a quad, but at least you know the professionals are out there doing the same sort of thing

Interesting, I guess the rear motor is only used in hovering/take-off/landing mode because forward flight it gets shut off. That'd be a fine line trying to figure out when to turn it off and on while in flight.

Leadfeather and cass3825 have it covered with the MultiWii now. I helped a lot with the code as it's mostly copy and pasted from what I had in the 1.7.1 aeroquad but without the servo jitters that kept us grounded. Cass3825 found a way to make servos move 180 degrees and perfectly smooth with no jitter using a ProMini. At least it's working on an Arduino now :)

I don't think it would be that difficult - as long as it has an airspeed sensor.
